For day 2 of my friend’s trip to Ireland, we went on a road trip to Kerry for the day! Our first stop was Killarney National Park, which was the first national park in Ireland.
We went out to see Torc Waterfall, which is a must-see if you are in Killarney National Park!
There were nice views in the park but I personally don’t think I would put it too high up on my list of things to do when in Ireland! But if you are interested in nature and flora / fauna (this brings me back to the days of studying geography for the leaving cert!), you would enjoy it.
Once we had finished in the park, I suggested going for hot chocolate and a bite to eat in Noelle’s Retro Café in Killarney, my favourite café in the town.
After our delicious hot chocolate (they do a seriously good hot chocolate) and sandwiches, we drove out to Glenbeigh.
This was my first time visiting Rossbeigh beach and what a beautiful beach it is.. Definitely the nicest one I have ever been to.
Alexandra’s one goal was to get up close to some sheep during her trip! It was almost a major disappointment but we managed to find a petting farm on the road back home so we pulled in and all of her dreams came true! Next time we will have to take her to the Healy Pass.. We went there the following week and there were sheep everywhere!
I’m looking forward to doing another trip in Ireland soon. I must start planning that now!
