One great thing about New York is that there is always something going on in the city. If you read my October Highlights post you will know that I got tickets to see Jimmy Kimmel Live From Brooklyn twice! I also managed to get my hands on a pair of priority tickets for VH1’s Big Music in 2015: You Oughta Know concert. This event took place at The Armoury Foundation in Washington Heights.
It was an early start on Friday, November 6th. I met Alex and Alex (confusing, I know right!?) in the lobby of our building at 4.40am and we made our way to the Megabus bus stop to D.C. When looking up things to do in New York, Governors Island was one of the places that popped up. I was at my friend’s apartment on Saturday, September 26th and we saw that the following day was the last day to visit the island as it was closing to the public. We decided that we should probably do it seeing as it was going to be our only chance to get there.
On Sunday, my roommate, my two friends and I decided to cycle to Central Park. To be honest, I thought this was a crazy idea as I had not cycled in years and I also have never cycled on a road with traffic, especially not in New York City!
