London Day 2 | Camden Market and Notting Hill2 min read

Camden Market

I’m back with Day 2 of my trip to London! After our late night antics, we slept in quite late so it was afternoon by the time we left the apartment!

One thing that struck me about the London underground is how clean they are compared to the subway stations in New York! Maybe I just got lucky with the underground stations I went to, but they were spotless!

London Underground

First stop: Camden. This was my first time in Camden and I loved it. Although I couldn’t get over how busy it was. There were people absolutely everywhere. It was nearly worse than the dance floor in Voodoo during RAG Week! But there was such a great buzz about the place!

Choosing just one place to eat at in Camden Market was such a struggle! There was so much choice. I actually couldn’t believe the amount of choice there was! We ended up getting burgers and chips from Burger & Beyond. They were so good, but I think the next time I would ask them to be cooked a little more well done!

Next up was Notting Hill, where I just gazed at all of the beautiful, coloured houses!

And then we got the best cupcakes ever from Hummingbird Bakery.. I’m not joking! I’ve had plenty of cupcakes from many different bakeries around the world and these were hands down my favourite! I opted for a vanilla one again as they are such a classic and it’s also easier to compare different bakeries when you try the same flavour from each place 😉

If you can’t tell by now, I really love food haha, especially desserts! I have the biggest sweet tooth! So if you ever have any food recommendations (for any country!), definitely let me know and I’ll note them down 😉

Thanks for reading day 2! I’ll see you back here next week for Day 3, my final day in London!

Ali xx

This looks like such a fabulous trip. Lovely photos that really do convey the feel of the place. London is one of my favorite cities when I’m not camping out in nature. Thank you for sharing and I will have to get one of those cup cakes next time!

Looks like a fun trip. Notting Hill looks so cute – and reminds me of the movie. I’d like to go to England one day. It’s one of those places I’d like to visit. Thanks for sharing.

I would love to go there one day. I had no idea it was so crowded there. I always pictured Notting Hill as more country like. Do they ship those cupcakes to the US? They look so good.
