Exploring Midtown | 1 Nov 20151 min read

November began with a little exploring in Midtown. I headed uptown on the subway to meet my friends at Times Square – the craziest place on earth! It is a place that you really want to avoid but you just can’t help feeling the excitement from everyone around you. It is a maze trying to walk around there. I would suggest going early morning on a weekday if you want to avoid the massive crowds! We took some pictures on the Broadway steps, and ran into my old friend – The Naked Cowboy, who is certainly not afraid to pose for the camera!

We took a walk to Rockefeller and saw the famous ice-skating rink.

After Rockefeller, we strolled down 5th Ave and did some window shopping. It was hard to keep ourselves from going inside the stores – our wallets kept telling us no!

We went for lunch in Grand Central Station, which is such a wonderful place.

A trip to one of my favourite places in New York City was next on the list – Bryant Park. Much to our surprise, the Christmas market had already opened and the place was buzzing. We strolled around the market, ate some chimney cake, and sat down to watch the ice-skaters. It was so nice to just chill in a park, listen to the Christmas music, take in all of the tall buildings and just people watch in general. The atmosphere was so cheerful.

It was weird seeing it all Christmassy at one end and more like Halloween at the other end!

He is always around Times Square, even in the freezing cold! I don't know how he does it!
